Synopsis:
 

Adukku Veetu Annasamy is the classic Tamil radio comedy from the 1970s that portrays the transition of families from kampong living to Singapore’s early HDB flats. The story follows the Annasamy family, whose hopes of modern living are disrupted by Panjanathan, their boisterous and well-meaning brother-in-law, whose actions lead to a series of humorous misadventures within the home and neighbourhood.

Through its vivid characters and witty dialogue, the production reflects the challenges and communal spirit of early HDB life, where conflict, camaraderie, and connection existed side by side. Reimagined as a seamless theatrical performance combining selected plays, this adaptation preserves the period setting and language while engaging contemporary audiences.
